The Boat Project was an in-class partner project and we were not allowed to bring any materials from home. The materials we were automatically provided with was aluminum foil, cardstock, and duct tape. We then had the chance to choose 2 of these four materials: Ziploc Bag, 4 Straws, Styrofoam Bowl, and Paper Cup. As you can see, we chose the styrofoam bowl and straws. All together we used aluminum foil, cardstock, duct tape, styrofoam bowl, and straws. We chose the bowl for an air pocket and the straws to create somewhat of a border. Our calculated buoyant fore was 2070.1 grams which was the amount of pennies our boat held. According to the class calculations, our boat was above the class average in all of the categories.
